Anne Sowerby - CMS Director

Anne has 15 years experience in Marketing, Promotion, Sales and Business Development. Anne specialises in promotion and marketing and also managed “The Hub” a substantial (£1m) social enterprise support project based at The Oval, Workington, Cumbria.

Anne was responsible for advising new and trading social enterprises, brokering appropriate specialist advice and managing the Hub schemes, consultancy, feasibility studies, mentoring and revenue / capital grants.

Over the last few years she has given specialist support to Credit Unions with development across North West England. She has supported Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council with a county wide marketing development strategy and action plan, Maryport (MANA) and Whitehaven Credit Unions in producing  business and marketing strategy plans which has directly resulted in the increase of their membership by over 55% and 50% share loans in twelve months. She also designed and implemented a full marketing campaign for community gym Fit 4 Life, Eco-Blitz which were both externalised out of Cumbria council for Voluntary Services.

Anne has designed bespoke marketing training sessions for a range of organisations; Anchor Staying Put (Cumbria), Cumbria Recycling and Cumbria Social Enterprise Partnership to name but a few.
